Renovate Your Home Interior With House Plants

When you think of home renovation the first thing that comes to mind is walls being torn down, electrical wiring being replaced and various other construction tasks that are normally done in the renovation of a home. However, do you know that you can renovate the interior of your home by adding and replacing certain aesthetically pleasing items? One such item you can use to renovate the interior of your home and beautify it at the same time is the use of house plants.

Indoor house plants aside from the improvement in the appearance of your home that they offer are also known to clean the air in the interior of your home. They can blend in with just about any decor inside your home and make a great hobby or past time for both young and old. The following three types of house plants are excellent choices to begin grooming your “green thumb” and growing house plants because of the relatively easy care, they require.

The first choice of indoor house plants is the Chinese Evergreen. This plant is particularly recommended for the first time growers of any type of plant. It is easy to take care and grows best in low light areas, which will help to keep its leaves dark green and silver in color. It only requires watering when the soil is dry and can grow to a maximum height of 3 feet. One of the drawbacks of this particular plant in that it does not do well in temperatures below 45°F, so if your home is rather cool it may not do so well

The next plant recommended as one of the best indoor house plants is the Ponytail Palm. This plant has an unusual appearance of a very large trunk with leaves that seem to whip out from its stem. Its large trunk allows it to hold water for an extended period of time and they can go almost a year without watering. It grows best in lighted rooms and while having an odd appearance is very easy to care for. The drawback of this plant is that it can grow as tall as six feet, which may not be suitable in some homes.

The next recommended plant is the Angel Ivy Ring Topiary or Wire Vine. This plant grows 1 foot 8 inches in length and thrives best in temperatures between 65°F and 80°F. It requires indirect sunlight exposure and fertilization once a month to keep it full and healthy. The downside is that it attracts insects such as spiders and mites and watering it can be meticulous as it cannot be overwatered or allowed to get too dry

So there you have it three indoor house plants that are relatively easy to grow and will beautify the interior of your home. All of them have some minor cons, but most can easily be grown by just about anyone.
